The Whipple Museum holds an outstanding collection of scientific instruments and models relating to astronomy, navigation, surveying, calculating, medicine and much more. From school sessions to family drop in activities and adult lectures, the Whipple's educational programme can offer something to visitors of all ages and interests.
As well as schools, we welcome other pre-booked groups to the museum, including Higher Education groups, other educational institutions or clubs, societies and special interest groups.
Our schools programme offers a wide range of engaging cross-curricular sessions that cater to all levels and ages. We aim to enrich classroom learning by offering tailored workshops and hands-on activities that will encourage learning and spark student's imagination.
We welcome organized visits of EFL students from language schools. Groups should be booked in advance; for more information about the Museum and how to make a booking please see this document.
The Whipple Museum, together with other University of Cambridge Museums and Collections, runs free drop in events for families and children throughout the year. Details of these events can be found here.
